The Ouachita Thornless Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus 'Ouachita') PP17162 is an upright and thornless cultivar, making the sweet, firm berries, not only yummy to eat, but very easy to pick. This berry plant yields heavily and continuously for 5 weeks or more.  It is extremely hardy and disease resistant. Yields begin on 2 year canes, Quachita is also self-fertile, meaning you will only need one plant to get plenty of healthy, sweet plump juicy berries right in your back yard, ripening in late-June. Light pruning. 

Blackberries are filled with antioxidants, fiber, anthocyanins, vitamin C, and manganese. 

To increase the size of your crops, plant two varieties, doing so is optional.
